Social Justice Book Discussion: How to Be an Antiracist, Part 2
Tuesday, June 30, 2020 • 8 Tammuz 5780
7:30 PM - 8:30 PMAs our community and our nation continues to struggle with racism and racial injustice, many in our congregation are looking for ways to deepen our understanding of this important concern.
How to Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi has been described as a “groundbreaking” approach to understanding and uprooting racism and inequality in our society—and in ourselves. The author is a National Book Award winner and a native Floridian, and in this book challenges his readers to take a proactive approach to combating racism and racial injustice.
This four-part series will explore the themes in the book and give the participants the change to share their reactions in a discussion setting. If you did not register for Part 1 and would like to participate, please contact Rabbi Greg Weisman at gweisman@tbeboca.org
