Behind the Scenes: The Making of "Shards" with Cantor Evan Kent, Artist-in-Residence Series
Sunday, March 21, 2021 • 8 Nisan 5781
11:00 AM - 12:00 PMCantor Evan Kent shares with you a “behind the scenes” look at the making, development, and production of his one-person show, “Shards.”
“Shards” is a full-length musical that weaves together stories of Evan’s aliyah to Israel, with tales of his family’s migration from Eastern Europe to the United States at the beginning of the 20th century. It is a story of love and loss, the search for home and homeland, and along the way discovering what you didn’t even know you had lost.
In this program, Evan will share some vignettes and songs from the show, as well as his personal creative and artistic process.
