- 7:30 pm - Jewish Leadership: Where Have We Been, Where Are We Now, and Where We Are Going - A Conversation with Rabbi Elka Abrahamson, President of the Wexner Foundation
Since Abraham and Sarah led “the souls they created in Haran” on their journey to the land of Israel, Judaism has been shaped and defined by the quality and character of our leaders. The Wexner Foundation has been the guiding force developing Jewish professional and lay-leaders for North America and Israel for more than thirty years, and Rabbi Abrahamson is one of our country’s most transformational experts on Jewish leadership. She will share with us what Jewish leadership has been, and what the Jewish people need from our leaders now and going forward in this remarkable period of Jewish life. - 8:45 pm - Moses and Level Five Leadership
The famed scholar of leadership, entrepreneurship, and business Jim Collins suggests that the most enduring and successful enterprises are led by what he calls “Level Five Leaders”. Led by Temple Beth El’s rabbinic team, together we will explore how Moses’ personal journey to Sinai leads him to grow through Collins’ five levels to be the most transformational leader in history

Rabbi B. Elka Abrahamson is President of The Wexner Foundation. She oversees the Foundation's full range of activities and in partnership with Foundation chairmen Abigail and Leslie Wexner. Rabbi Abrahamson, a dynamic speaker and an engaging teacher is optimistic about the Jewish future owing to the remarkable leaders she encounters in her rabbinate, many of them Wexner Alumni. She is a highly regarded leadership consultant and advisor. Elka is a student and teacher of Mussar, Jewish character building. She also loves a good football game, especially if the Vikings are winning. Rabbi Abrahamson and her husband, Rabbi Misha Zinkow, live in Columbus, Ohio.
